The right to be rescued…

…and the right to dream of a better life.

We all agree that all of us human beings have the right to choose a better life. We have the innate ability to dream, to aspire to and envision a better future, for ourselves and for our children and dearest ones. And it is because we can imagine all this that we commit ourselves to our dreams, we work hard, we change jobs, change hometown, we migrate.

Sadly enough it looks like the more we achieve our goals and the better our lives are, the more we become selfish, as Italy and Europe demonstrate. We don’t welcome non-European dreamers, we make their lives harder, we don’t even rescue them when we should.

Yo Hombre Del Mundo composed by our bassist Roberto Bucci, is inspired by and dedicated to all migrants, their willpower and their faith in a better life against all odds. In Italy we are witness to the everyday tragedy of men, women and children drowning while escaping from war or from the lagers that Europe pays for to keep them off the European shores. Now the Italian government is punishing not only migrants but also the ones who try to save their lives in the Mediterranean.

It seems there’s no end for humans to be so inhumane. I ask myself what music can do—at least talk about it.
